I suspect my comrade Curly will concur with at least some of the points made in this post that reveals what can tick certain people off when they attend academic conferences. I know they resonated for me!

Yes, I liked it but there is one peeve she left off -- people going over time! You have a certain amount of time, so practice your presentation and keep it to that limit. It is not cute or cool to go on beyond the time limit, especially when people have other sessions to go to.
